Interior with Into the Forest 7
1, 2, 3 November 2019 Exhibition Archaeological Museum Haarlem
Last year I exhibited at the museum during the Kunstlijn with my series Hidden in Clay, inspired by clay tablets with cuneiform writing, found by Dutch archaeologists in Tell Sabi Abyad, Syria.
I found it very special to be able to show my tablets and amulets in the museum. This collaboration gave rise to a new project in which I was allowed to make a selection of leftover material from archaeological finds, which give me inspiration for new works of art to be made.
My new works of art will be on display in the museum during the Kunstlijn 2019.

Two of my paintings from the Wild Flowers series have been selected for the exhibition Happy bee landscapes. Wild Flowers 7 and Wild Flowers 20 / High Summer.
This exhibition draws attention to the bee, through image and language, in music and art, in culture and science.
